Games, profiles and calculator inputs

Privacy policy

Calculator inputs stay in your browser, with deliberate device saving available for the moving cash planner and job-profit review. Local game saves also stay in this browser. When the Merriam-Webster Word Bridge connection is enabled, requested word checks go through our server to the dictionary provider. Ranked Block Spark races send moves privately for verification; Post score makes your username and best score public. Remote analytics and advertising remain disabled.

00 / LOCAL GAME PROGRESS

Your saved word chains, stories and puzzle progress stay local.

Word Bridge saves your word chain, hint status, first completion and personal bests under its own challenge key. Story Spark saves your draft and completed story locally. Use Clear draft and Delete saved story in Story Spark to remove your writing, or clear this site’s browser data. No story text is sent to a server or included in telemetry. Copy story includes the text you choose to share and a link to its dated prompt. Word Bridge copies the endpoints, move count, the original mode’s shortest-route target or the dictionary mode’s par, and hint status, without the solution chain. The dictionary mode uses separate personal bests. These two games have no public scores or accounts.

Daily Balance local storage holds versioned board entries, recent undo history, assistance counts, completion dates, and whether this board was opened through a share link. These records support saved play and local streaks; they are not sent to a server. Use “Clear local puzzle data” on a Daily Balance page to remove them. If storage is blocked, full, or corrupt, the game explains the limitation and remains playable in memory.

Share text and images contain the puzzle date or practice ID, completion and assistance status, and a link to the same board. They omit the board entries and personal identifiers. The only campaign marker is src=share; there is no persistent referral ID.

00A / OPTIONAL DICTIONARY LOOKUPS

Merriam-Webster checks individual words when you request them.

The optional Merriam-Webster Word Bridge connection is pending until configured. When enabled, choosing Add word sends that word through this site’s server to Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate® Dictionary with Audio. Choosing Get a hint sends one proposed hint word for checking before its letter position is shown. Reveal next word displays that checked word only when you choose it. Typing alone and restoring a saved game do not request dictionary lookups.

The lookup service does not receive your full chain, personal bests or completed records. It returns a word-acceptance result, does not retain dictionary responses, and builds no offline dictionary or exported word list. Your routes remain browser-local personal history, not authenticated leaderboard results.

The service can use the IP address supplied by the hosting provider transiently to limit repeated requests at the network edge; it does not store that address in application records. Hosting systems and Merriam-Webster may process standard request information. See Merriam-Webster’s API privacy policy and API terms. This dictionary feature adds no player account, public score or advertising identifier.

01 / BLOCK SPARK LEADERBOARD

Private race checks and optional public scores.

You can play Block Spark as a guest in either mode. Guest runs and personal bests stay in this browser. Ranked Time Attack requires a profile with a unique username before starting. Creating a profile sends your chosen username to this site’s scoring service. Choose a nickname rather than personal contact details.

Choosing Start race for a ranked Time Attack requests a 90-second server clock. When the race ends, its move log is automatically sent privately to the same site for verification. The service checks the run and discards the move log. It keeps the latest 20 private race records per player, including the run ID, challenge date, mode, ruleset, status and timing metadata, plus the computed score and a hash of the moves when verified. A verified result can be posted within 24 hours of the race start, while its record is retained; that limit does not mean the private record is deleted after 24 hours. Starting more races removes records beyond the latest 20.

In Classic, choosing Post score sends your move log for checking; the service computes the result and discards the moves. In Time Attack, Post score publishes the already verified result. Neither mode adds a public leaderboard entry until you choose Post score. The service stores your best accepted public score for each challenge, mode and ruleset with timestamps.

A public entry shows your username, randomly assigned player ID, best score and rank on that mode’s daily leaderboard. Usernames are unique without regard to capitalization. A profile identifies a player credential, not a verified person; multiple profiles per person are not prevented.

A private browser cookie keeps access to your profile for up to 180 days. It authorizes ranked races, score posting and profile deletion. The cookie is HttpOnly, uses SameSite=Strict, and is sent securely over HTTPS. Its private value is separate from your public player ID; the service stores a hash of the credential rather than the cookie value. This is a profile-access cookie, not an analytics or advertising identifier.

Your profile and public best scores remain stored until you delete your profile. Use Delete profile and scores in Block Spark while this browser still has access; it removes the profile, its public scores and its private race records, and expires the cookie. Clearing browser data does not delete those server records. Losing or clearing the cookie, or letting it expire, loses control of the profile. There is no profile recovery or cross-device sign-in. Privacy questions can be sent to the contact address below.

Your financial inputs stay in this browser.

The current calculators do not submit form values to a Daily Spark server, database, account, cloud-save feature, or third-party form service. No account is required.

Inputs are not placed in shared URLs. Calculators use page memory by default. The moving cash planner has an explicit device-save option: Save on this device stores the plan’s opening date, cash, chosen reserve, and dated payment, income, and refund rows in this site’s browser local storage. This includes any labels you entered. It does not create an account or upload a copy.

The planner does not automatically save or load a plan. Load saved plan reads the saved copy only when you choose it. Delete saved plan removes that copy, and clearing this site’s browser data also removes it. Saving again replaces the saved plan in this browser. Someone with access to the same browser profile may be able to load it; it is not an encrypted backup or cross-device service.

The recurring-job profitability review separately offers explicit save, load, and delete actions. Saving stores the entered job, estimate, actual-visit, scenario, and capacity inputs in this browser’s local storage. It does not automatically save or load them, create a profile, or send them to our server. Saving again replaces that tool’s saved copy; deleting it does not affect a separately saved moving plan.

If local storage is unavailable, you can still work in page memory. Other calculators do not intentionally persist their inputs. A browser may restore a page from its own history or memory. Use neutral labels rather than account numbers, customer names, addresses, employee details, or other sensitive identifiers. No bank connection, customer directory, or account credentials are needed. Local saves are not encrypted backups; people using the same browser profile may be able to load them. Clearing this site’s browser data removes its local saves.

Sharing is initiated by you.

The moving cash planner, moving calculators, and job-profit review create a local CSV only when you choose to export. A cash-plan export contains your entered dates, labels, amounts, assumptions, and calculated balances. A job-review export contains the entered job information and calculated review. Check a file’s contents before sharing it. The site does not upload the file. Deleting a saved browser plan does not delete files you have already downloaded or shared.

When you choose Share result, the browser or operating system receives a result summary and the calculator’s query-free page URL. Calculator inputs are not encoded in that URL. Any app or service you choose afterward handles that shared content under its own terms and privacy practices.

Hosting systems may process standard request information.

A hosting provider may process information normally involved in serving a web request, such as an IP address, timestamp, requested path, browser information, and security or diagnostic logs. The calculator inputs themselves are not included in the request by this implementation.

Analytics is disabled by default.

No remote analytics script loads in this version. Limited activity information can be inspected within the page, such as which tool opened, whether an example was chosen, or whether a game result was shared. It does not identify a visitor or track return visits.

Rent, fees, cash balances, payment and income dates, reserve amounts, job prices, labor rates, work times, actual visits, result values, free-text labels, and other form contents are not permitted in analytics events.

Advertising is not active.

This version does not display ads or load advertising code. Verification for Google AdSense may publish the operator’s account identifier in site metadata and an ads.txt file. That verification does not display advertisements or submit calculator inputs.

Before advertising or analytics becomes active, this policy will describe the providers used, information they process, cookies and local storage, and the privacy and consent choices that apply.

This policy must change when the product changes.

Adding or changing profiles, persistence, analytics, advertising, consent management, or another third-party service requires a review of the implementation and this wording before activation.
