01 / Baseball

From mound to catcher.

3D flight simulator

Choose a pitch preset or adjust the controls, then select Throw pitch. Drag the field to rotate it, scrub through the flight, and keep a pitch for comparison.

Gravity, drag, and spin shape the flight. Seam-shifted wake and knuckleball flutter are adjustable experimental models; their results are illustrative, not predictions calibrated to a specific baseball.

No sign-in required. Your adjustments and comparison stay in this tab; reloading resets them.

Behind the trajectory

What the model considers

Release speed, horizontal and vertical launch angles, release height and side, extension, spin rate and axis, gyro angle, wind, temperature, pressure, humidity, field elevation, ball size and mass, drag, lift, and spin decay.

Seam yaw, tilt, and roll change the ball’s orientation and the approximate low-spin force. Seam-shifted wake uses a prescribed strength and direction. A repeatable wake seed lets you compare flutter while holding the release conditions fixed.

The solver follows the ball to the front of home plate or the ground. The strike-zone view estimates overlap at that plane; it is not an official umpire call. Seam forces, wake variability, and the drawn seam pattern are approximations, not a fluid simulation.
